Fly into the heavens With JETS beneath your wings Show them what it's truly like To hear an angel sing Light the stars with dignity And forever shine your light To guide us with your wisdom On the path of wrong and right Like a flower in GODS garden Reaching out towards the sun Standing taller than the rest You were the chosen one I thank you for the honour Of calling you my friend And I'll think of you with love Until we meet again I enjoyed our conversations And the moments that we shared You always brought a ray of light To the darkness that was bared It hurts me with a passion That it was you HE chose But HE needed grace and elegance So for that HE took a rose You will fill my days with memories Of the time I spent with you I shall miss your smiling face And the strength I saw in you RJM - Posted by: Bert mcgimpsey (health care aide) on: Nov 13, 2015

Barb was an amazing teacher and administrator. I worked with her at Acadia and her energy and enthusiasm were boundless. She opened her home for staff parties many times and always made us feel welcome. My sympathies to her family. So sorry to hear this sad news. - Posted by: Betty Anne Kiddell (Colleague and friend) on: Nov 11, 2015

Barb Paul was an exceptional person, a true mensch, loving, caring, compassionate. She was a gifted educator, passionate about her craft and her "children" as she refered to her students. She gave totally unselfishly of herself always being their biggest cheerleader as she encouraged them in all of their pursuits. Barb loved learning, reading, creating, she loved teaching and she loved the beauty and adventure of life. Her kindness and wisdom will never be forgotten since it will live on in her thousands of students and teachers that she mentored. My heart goes out to Rory, her children and grandchildren, her parents, sister and brother-law, their children, sisters-in-law and their husbands and families. Barb I miss you. - Posted by: Ruth Stargardter (Friend) on: Nov 10, 2015

Barbara is truly one of those special human beings from and with a very extraordinary family. Upon our first meeting, Barb presented with compassion, love, respect and all of the best qualities a true human being could empower. I am saddened to have missed Barb by one day - wish to express my heartfelt thoughts of sadness and love to Shirley, Sam, Rory and all of their exceptional children, and beloved sister Cheryl and her wonderful family. My thoughts are with all of you - for ever. - Posted by: Dr. Rod Lightheart (Friend) on: Nov 10, 2015

I am so sorry to hear about Barbara. She spent many days at the clinic and even though she was enduring so much, she always was so pleasant and greeted me smiling each time. We had some chats as well where she always spoke lovingly about her family. She will always have a special place in my heart. My thoughts are with you. - Posted by: Kim (CCMB nursing assistant) on: Nov 10, 2015
